On December 1, 1981, Westergaard Advertising was born. Armed with a handful of clients and years of experience in radio advertising, Dean first operated the business from his home, then an old bank building, and now from a quaint bungalow on the brick streets of Adel. Throughout this journey the mission has always remained the same – create effective advertising to help our clients meet their goals. Over the years, the agency has earned a reputation for quietly producing strong, creative work while providing exceptional client service.

In 2007, joined by his son Nick, Dean opened an Eastern Iowa office of Westergaard Advertising in the Hawkeye suburb of Coralville. Though the zip codes are different, it’s still the same Westergaard approach to advertising and client service that has been enduring for over 25 years.
